In the construction industry there are times when the flow of traffic has to be incorporated with the work being completed. It is essential for all workers to be protected from the drivers of vehicles who could be speeding, not paying attention to the surroundings or have total disrespect for the workers who repair our highways and byways. On the other hand the drivers and passengers of vehicles entering a construction zone need to be protected from construction equipment and on-coming vehicles.

There are various ways to control the flow of traffic however in some instances it is maintained by properly trained traffic control persons. The traffic control person must be efficient and effective. Their actions could mean the difference between a safe worksite and a fatal accident.

This training program will assist the traffic control person to understand their duties and the importance of proper traffic control procedures. They will also learn the duties of a worksite supervisor.
